And in 2059, the 25th vast colony to be created, Macross Frontier, was continuing it's journey toward the center of the galaxy.

      • This version of "Close Encounter" does not include the "Triangler" opening song or the "Diamond Crevasse" ending song that would be used on the regular aired version. Instead Megumi Nakajima/Ranka sings a version of "Do You Remember Love?"

      • Satelight, the animation production company's name, and the title of this Macross series are both on the departures list at the space port.

      • This episode marks the 25th anniversary of the Macross franchise.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)
