Can you believe that the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a staple of Thanksgiving for 85 years and is still going strong? And NBC proved it yesterday with this year's parade and with imaginative floats balloons and fantastic entertainment it's no wonder that Macy's makes the parade the greatest innovention of Thanksgiving and with Ann Curry replacing Meredith Veira she breathes new life into the parade and with Matt Lauer at her side the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has never been so good. And with classic floats such as parade mascot Tom Turkey to new balloons such as Kermit The Frog Sonic The Hedgehog the parade is a treat to watch from beginning to end and let's not forget a visit from you-know-who as Santa Claus makes his debut in a brand new float and will be a holiday hit. And don't miss the wonderful Rockettes as they dance and sing holiday hits as well. If you are looking for a treat that all ages can share the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is a great start to the holiday season and brings out the season to everyone and as always "Believe in the magic of Macy's to allmoreless
  • Why didn't CBS cover more of the parade?

The coverage of the parade this year was just horrific!!! A usual family tradition of watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was spent watching useless interviews and commercials. The broadcasters kept talking about themselves. We literally saw two minutes of parade and 5 minutes of commercials. I understand that commercials are neccessary due to sponsers and stuff, but jeez. We didn't see hardly any performances like we usually do. They also left out all of the bands which worked really hard to get to the parade, but I guess aren't special enough to get their 1 minute of fame on CBS. I like Rachel Ray as much as the next person, but did we really have to cut to her to see her cook some more...she has a show of her own. I tuned in to see bands, floats, and balloons. I'm sorry CBS but your coverage was terrible this year!!!moreless
