  • Not a good episode.

The start of the episode was unbelievably boring. The doorknob coming off and locking people in a bathroom together has been done a million times.

Still, watching Paul and Jamie try to break down the door was funny. And the dialog was good.

The whole party with Fran trying to set people up was boring and had no good lines. The whole Cupid thing was dorky, as well.

The Lassie ripoff at the end of the episode was really lame.

I hope to see much better writing in the future. This was cliched, corny, and boring. With such great talents as Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser, they should be doing much better than this.
  • Why this show was so good.

Classic episode. This is the episode, that i would consider the best in the series. It is just cute and exactly what the series was. The show could always blend seamlessly through drama and comedy...but this episode was just pure comedy, and is a classic for the show. The Fran/Lisa party storyline I am not the biggest fan of, but the bathroom scenes are classic, and i honestly believe one of the best the series ever created.

The first season was good, but not the best, but with this episode, it makes me want to re-buy the complete first season on DVD...
