A mis-delivered pizza results in the Buchmans (from 11D) and the Conways (11C) actually meeting. New York-raised Paul is content to make that the extent of the Buchman-Conway relationship. But Connecticut-raised Jamie prefers to get to know her neighbors. And takes offense that there is someone who does not like her.
At midnight, Hal Conway knocks on the Buchman door complaining of food poisoning. Jamie goes into the kitchen to get a Doctor's number, and knocks Hal unconscious with the kitchen door as she returns.
In the laundry room, Paul finds all the driers in use, so he empties one that is finished running, and is caught modeling Maggie's panties on his head, just as Hal walks in.
Jamie is determined to become friends with the Conways, so she bakes them a bundt cake (actually a store-bought bundt cake dumped into a home bundt tray). When she delivers it, Murray invades the Conway's pure-bred dog, Sylvia, right on the Conway couch.
The Buchmans invite the Conways over for hors d'oeuvres. Fran and Mark had stopped by on their way to a Wagner opera. The Buchmans (Paul) declines the Devanow's extra tickets, but the Conways gladly accept. On the way out the door, Jamie invites the Conways to a dinner that weekend. Finally, Hal confesses that he and Maggie simply do not like Paul and Jamie.
