Episode Recap

Don Draper prepares warm milk and as he is trying to concentrate on the task at hand, he starts remembering stories about his mother and how he was born. Don heads upstairs to a very pregnant Betty. Seems that she can't sleep and he tries to lull her to sleep with a romantic story.

The next day at the office, Peggy seems annoyed with her secretary, Lola, who seems to be preoccupied with John Hooker, assistant to the new financial office, Lane Pryce. Don joins Pryce, Cooper and Sterling in letting head of accounts, Burt Peterson go and Burt leaves the office but does not go quietly. Later in the day, Lane Pryce offers the head of accounts position to both Pete Campbell and Kenny Cosgrove but they each do not know about the other. Pete is extra excited and calls Trudy to give her the good news.

Don and Sal head to Baltimore to check on their London Fog account. On the plane, a stewardess, Shelly throws a very good game at Don and mistakes Don for another name, so Don and Sal run with it and head to dinner with the stewardesses and pilot. After dinner, Don and Shelly head to his room and even though she has a fiance, she doesnt want to waste her last chance. Meanwhile, Sal has called up a bellboy for help with the air conditioning and the bellboy starts to kiss Sal when the fire alarm goes off. Don and Shelly head down the fire escape and Don peers into Sals room and sees the bellboy half dressed.

Pete and Kenny find out about each other and Ken isnt going to give into the idea that they should hate each other. Joan gives Hooker his own office but Pryce tells Hooker that he belongs up front. Don is surprised that Pryce wants Campbell and Cosgrove to go against each other.

Back at home, Don enjoys time with Betty and Sally finds the stewardess pin and asks her father if it is for her and he says that it is. Sally asks her parents to tell her the story of when she was born.
