    • QUOTES (7)

      • Richard: Ok, ok, acting is like the dinner table no religion, politics, pets or children.

      • Richard's Opening Monologue
Richard: Television actors by definition are very unhappy people thats why they spend so much time pretending to be someone else. And the more successful they become at acting on television the more they want to get involved in producing television. Its a very natural instinct. Which is why producers know, the second this instinct rears its head, it must be crushed.

      • Richard: I love the NRA... who doesn't. I'm against trigger locks. If every gun had a trigger lock and you picked up a gun that wasn't yours how would you fire it?
        Cybill: Exactly.

      • Jeff: Richard, they want me to endorse ciggarettes in Japan because I'm big with the kids!
        Richard: Thats a great idea!

      • Cybill: I suffered from stagefright darling, did you know that?
        Richard: I've heard its frightening

      • Cybill: The war on poverty must have casualties, and if there are casualties, lets make sure they are poor.

      • Richard: The NRA, they're not really a charity are they?

    • NOTES (0)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Richard: Have you ever considered a career in politics? You could do well here.
During the production run the Progressive Conservative Provincial Government of Ontario was considered Anti Labour, and forced massive cuts to Ontario's Nursing program. For all of the problems they caused the province they won two seperate majorities before being defeated by the Liberals in the election of 2003.
