    • TRIVIA (1)

    • QUOTES (2)

      • Man: It's about time you got here.
Woman: The ketchup is ruining my tires!
Madeline: I am sorry, monsieur, but it is not my fault. Oh, Miss Clavel, owning a bridge is nothing but a big headache.

      • Girls: We love our bread, we love our... peanut butter? But most of all, we love each other.

    • NOTES (3)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Narrator, Christopher Plummer: "He was a kind and lively fellow, his shirt was blue, his tie was yellow, and his name was Fiorello."
The reference is to Fiorello H. LaGuardia, who was Mayor of New York City from 1934 to 1945. Fiorello was elected Mayor on an anti-corruption "fusion" ticket during the Great Depression. Under LaGuardia's influence, New York City acquired its first commercial airport within city limits, Floyd Bennett Field. Many things in the City are named after him, not the least of which is LaGuardia Airport.
