Magic Hour (1989)

Show Summary

Magic Hour (1989) is a TV Drama series where a major or minor character of one episode becomes the subject of the next. Filmed at the Canadian Broadcasting Company studios in Ontario, CN, the anthology season starts with the story of two friends, Chris (Dean McDermott) and Brad (Jackson Davies), who move to the Canadian countryside. Jealousy tests their friendship after they both fall for Jennifer (Jessica Steen). Her son Mike (Yannick Bisson) appears in the next episode with his friends Cameron (Torquil Campbell), Russell (Alvin Crawford) and Cynthia (Samantha Follows), who try their best to get on TV. Mike's brother Corey (Peter MacNeill) is a determined hockey player in the third installment, who wants to become an all-star player on the ice. Coach Brenann (Peter MacNeill) sees that the boy's heart is in the game, but he refuses to play Corey because he thinks the teen is too short. Hockey player Chuck (Robert Morelli) tries out for the choir in the fourth segment, and choirgirl Rebecca (Stacie Mistysyn) and her blind date Ralph (Sean Roberge) have problems getting to the prom, where characters from the earlier episodes are in the gym waiting for them.
