Mahoromatic is an anime about Mahoro, a powerful battle android created by Vesper [a secret agency fighting an army of alien invaders]. Soon, she is told she has little operating time left and soon will cease to function. However, if she lays down her arms and conserves her remaining power, the time she has left can be prolonged to just over a year. Mahoro is given an opportunity to live the remaining time she has as a normal human. She chooses to live as a maid for Suguru, a phenomenally messy high school student who lives by himself after his family passed away. Thr first season ran 12 episodes, with a 'special' 13th episode to end the season.moreless

  • A delightful ligt hearted tale of a robtic maid and a middle school boy.

    Mahoromatic (automatic maiden) is an interesting tale about a retired combat android who choses to spend the rest of her remaing life span as a maid for a young boy named suguru misato. The story follows the advntures of the two as the tackle such great issues as breast size, a petophile teacher, and young love. The show itself is very funny and filled with fan serrvice which should be attributed to the producers at gainax (evangelion). If you like mecha, pretty girls, and lots of laughs I definetly recommend the show, which is a big complement to the show as I dont watch much anime. Another thing I must mention is that the show touches on a few heavy subjects. Like evangelion which also tackled big subjects mahoromatic tackles the finality of death and how people coupe with it. If your looking for a great anime show look no farther you've found it, and remember "DIRTY THOUGHTS ARE BAD"!moreless

    I love this series. It is what got me into anime in the first place. When you first read the description, it may turn you off to it, it sure did for me, but once i actually watched it, i feel in love with it.

    Simply, it is just one to the best written animes around, the first season [this one] is especially good, the second is not as solid, but still, it is better than most anime out there.

    Watch it to see what I am talking about. You can now get the complete series, 24 episodes, in a nice 'complete collection' box by Geneon for not much cash at all.moreless

    This was a great series. The first season was just awesome. It has everything that an anime needs; it had sad moments, fighting, blood, passion, and comedy, but those are just a few. What takes the cake, I guess, is the storyline. One of the best I've seen so far. Made me little teary-eyed at some moments. The second season, at first, seem stupid because they added in a new character the kept apologizing. It started to tick me off, but alas she stopped and started to act right. The second to last episode was to me a great ending, but then the final episode came and confused me greatly. So even though it had its bad moments it is still one of my favorite series.moreless
