The highest HART rescue on Mt. McKinley was 19,600 feet.
The H.A.R.T. (High Altitude Rescue Team) uses the venerable CH47-D Chinook twin blade helicopter.
The only civilian casualties that the U. S. suffered on the mainland in World War 2 were 6 hikers that accidentally tugged on a Japanese balloon bomb and were killed in the explosion.
12,275 Hellcats were delivered in just 3 years.
There are three basic moves when dueling with a rapier: thrust, parry, and disengage.
R. Lee Ermey: (narrating about the helicopter used by the High Altitude Rescue Team) With the unique demands of snowy hillsides, a few modifications had to be made to the Chinooks. For one thing, the tires that come standard on the CH47-D wouldn't cut it. The team members strapped metal skis over the tires giving the choppers a better base to land on. Think of it as a Chinook with snowshoes.
R. Lee Ermey: (narrating) These single shot muskets made those swords just ornamental in lees than a century. And with power like this, the three Musketeers didn't leave home without it.
R. Lee Ermey: (about to duel swordmaster Andrew Villaverde with a rapeir) Let's go slow. Nice, slow and easy here. Now...En garde, right? Andrew: Now, you're not packing anything, are you? R. Lee Ermey: No. No. If I was, I'd shoot ya and not fool around with this sword.
R. Lee Ermey: Don't make me come over there and snatch you off that couch! It's time for Mail Call!
