The Mail Call crew came up with the idea of using watermelons to show what weapons can do while filming the segment on samurai swords. When it came time to show the sword in action, no one was sure what to do. They remembered the watermelon they had with lunch. So they brought out some of the leftover watermelons and chopped them up with the sword.
