Episode Summary

After being allowed back on the U.S. National Team, the girls head to France where everything is left on the mat in order to get one step closer to achieving their dream. With cockiness, jealousy, sabotage and self-doubt at an all-time high, as well as Ellen Beals constantly looming over the girls, the pressure is almost too much to bear. For Kaylie and Lauren, the bickering continues, while Emily pines for Damon and Payson puts her Olympic future on the line. Will Emily be able to have it all – gymnastics and the boy she loves? And will Payson be able to defy the odds and qualify for the National Team?moreless

This episode was pretty good, but very annoying at the same time. Normally, I don't really like Emily but her story line in this episode was really good and it showed off her characters struggles well, however the ending with her and Damon planning to meet in two years in Paris was gag worthy. It was way too corny, but at the same time I'm happy they wrapped up his story line because they really dragged it out. Paysons' self sabotage continued in this episode and it was really sad to see her fail but it was hard to feel bad for her because she should of listened to Sasha, but it did fall in line with her character.

Lauren and her dad schemed as usual with pretty good results, Lauren is somehow becoming more likeable even as she gets worse and worse.

Overall a very entertaining episode but it seems like the same story lines happen again and again with these girls and it would be nice to see some character development.moreless

      Austin: A couple of times.

    • Steve: Honey, the only French I know I picked up from a talking candelstick in Beauty and the Beast.
Lauren: I was saying I am NOT going all the way to France to be an alternate.

    • Kaylie: We're competing as a team, remember?
      Lauren: Doesn't mean I can't out-score you for the all-around.

      Emily: I won't have you.
      Damon: Who says?

Lauren: I was better than you today.
      Kaylie: We'll see.
