        Strawberry Shortcake is a cartoon character that was originally created for the Carlton Greeting Cards Company for use on birthday cards. She was known for being "berry sweet" and in the original '80s cartoon her voice was very high-pitched, which is why Lauren is comparing Wendy to her, since she is overly bubbly and has a high-pitched voice.
