Lauren: Of course, today it is with a heavy heart that we try to celebrate when our team mate and friend, Payson Keeler, should be standing here right now.

Payson: I ate an entire banana split yesterday without feeling guilty. Retirement definitely has its upsides.

Nicky: (to Payson) I try to imagine if it was me...You know, gymnastics is my entire life. If I had that taken away I'd just wanna die. But you, Payson, you just might be my hero.

Kaylie: It should have been you, Payson. You should have won Nationals and not me. And everyday I wonder: did I deserve it? And everyone's expecting me to do it again...and the Olympics...and what if...what if I can't? I'm scared, Pay. What if I let everybody down? What should I do?
Payson: Nothing. You'll be fine. You always are.

Mark: Life isn't a competition, Payson.

Payson: It hurts so much to think about ever setting foot in The Rock.
Mark: Why?
Payson: Because it's everything I'll never have again.
