  • Combined a lot of elements that made this into a good episode overall.

    8.5
There were a lot of things about this episode that were positive. For starters, Chloe Kmetko was hilarious. pulling off lines like telling Ronnie to keep her legs shut. I really did laugh a lot from Chloe moments. And that's good because the first 10 episodes she wasn't as funny, as much as say...oh, a tad annoying.

This was the first episode in like 5 weeks that didn't completely sell the heart of the Payson drama. It is so great to see her back with the Rock, but it is hard to see her fear with the uneven bars. That is something that has to be in place. It just wouldn't make sense for someone to break their back, and not be afraid of repeating that. However, something seemed unsatisfying about it.

The Kaylie/Carter storyline finally had a moment that wasn't boring. It was actually adorable. And since Lauren was out of the picture, they finally got along well, which is good considering it's been drawn out for weeks and weeks and weeks. Was this the first episode without Cassie Scerbo?

Anyway, Emily's boy drama has actually become more interesting now that Leo is in the picture. Damon is not very interesting these days. The only reason it is not a 10 is because I would have liked to have seen more from the Payson storyline and a better cliffhanger.moreless

Sasha: You know what's great about Payson? She never said, "I can't do it." Never complained. (Payson runs up the hill) Payson Keeler, 7:15. You shaved a whole minute off your time.

      Kaylie: She's baaack...
Sasha: Now that is the attitude of a champion.

  • NOTES (2)

    • Gymnastics Terms:
Yurchenko One-And-A-Half - A vault that begins with a roundoff in front of the table so you hit the table backwards, followed by one-and-a-half twists off the table in the layout (body completely straight) position. This is the vault that Nastia Liukin performed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Blind Landing - Literally, not being able to spot (or "see") the landing before your feet touch the ground. All foward flipping and half-twisting skills are considered "blind landings" because your feet hit the ground while your head is facing the ceiling. In backwards and full-twisting skills the top-half of your body rotates first, allowing you to spot the landing while your feet are still pointed at the ceiling.
A-Level Skills - The most basic skills that can be performed. All gymnastics skills on bars, beam and floor are assigned a letter depending on how difficult it is. "A" being the simplest, and "G" being the hardest.

    • Featured Music:
-The Spies - "You've Got Some Nerve" (Emily and Damon argue, Leo Cruz enters and starts flirting with Emily)
-Wasted Tape - "You're Found" (everyone comes to scope out the Shack for the fundraiser)
-13 Curves - "Parking Lot (Wake Up Next to You)" (Kaylie and Leo talk about their family problems)
-Miss Eighty 6 - "What Is It" (jackpot round begins and Leo helps Chloe verify false numbers)
-Boomkat featuring Taryn Manning - "Burn" (Kim wins the bingo jackpot)
