What a great episode, Malcolm recieves the visit from Lloyd who tells him that he get accepted into some college or something like that, and accidentally tells Malcolm that he is really poor to go to universities like that, later Hal takes the boys out to a car exposition and they discover that it have been replace by a wedding exposition which makes the thing even worse for them, later Dewey reminds Hal that he forget his birthday that they wanted to have the baby. Meanwhile, Francis and Piama go to visit Lois, and discover that Grandma is also in there to live, when Lois uses the "racist" of Ida to kick her out, everything turns out OK, except for the fact that Lois is about to have the baby...great episode!moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Hal: Let me explain something to you. Whenever your mother or I say something will come up or things will work out, that is our code for "Malcolm will think of something."

    • Ida: I'm moving in. (throws her suitcases inside the house)
Lois: What do you mean, you're moving in?
Ida: You are family, you will take care of me.
Francis: This is ridiculous. You have a condo; it's nicer than this house.
      Ida: It burned down.
Lois: Mother, you can't just... How did your house burn down?
Francis: It was the villagers, wasn't it?

    • (after Ida calls Piama the family's maid, Piama clarifies her name and that she's Francis' wife)
Ida: Tell the help not to talk to me.

    • (person purposely bumps into Hal)
Hal: Well, Dewey, I hope you're happy.
Dewey: I actually am, but I didn't expect to be this happy.

    • Dewey (on a microphone): Hello, my name is Dewey. The man with the balloon is my father, Hal.
      Hal: Dewey?
Dewey: I'm the youngest of four kids, and I always get the short end of everything. I've never had a hot shower or a bed to myself. I'm the third person to wear this underwear. And yet, I've never complained.
Hal: Dewey, what is this about?
Dewey: Even when my parents decided to have another baby. And they told me they're inducing labor. And they picked a really interesting day to do it. Do you remember what day you picked, Dad?
      Hal: Dewey?
Dewey: What day did you pick, Dad?
Hal: It's Thursday. Just come down from wherever you are.
Dewey: Of all the days you could've picked, you chose this Thursday. Anything interesting about Thursday, Dad?
      Hal: Will you stop this?
Dewey: Anything at all you could think of that might be happening this Thursday?
Hal: Okay, Dewey, what is the big deal about Thursday?
      Dewey: It's my birthday.
Hal: It is not your... (counts the days on his hand and realizes Dewey's right) Oh, God!
Dewey: Well, ladies and gentlemen, that's the story of a little boy who lost his birthday. If you have any thoughts or comments, my dad would love to hear them.

    • Reese: I know I haven't been everywhere, but I'm pretty sure this is the most boring place on earth.

    • Hal: There's a car show at the Convention Center.
Malcolm: Yeah. Spend the whole day looking at stuff we'll never get to own.
Lois: Oh, come on, Malcolm. If we only looked at stuff we could afford, all we'd ever see is crap.
