While Hal is reading the Playpen magazine, he once again expresses attraction for women with a little extra meat on their bones, the last time being when he was trying to make Lois gain extra weight when she was pregnant.
Malcolm turns out to be great at dancing even though Lois previously predicted that he would be a terrible dancer during an argument earlier in the series.
After knowing for a long time that Malcolm is good in his studies, Reese in cooking, and Dewey in music, we learn a new thing about Malcolm; he is also talented in dancing.
Nitpick: Lois wins a brand new truck in this episode, however, it is never seen again and the minivan is used like it always has been for the last few episodes.
Lois' handbag strap moves back and forth from her shoulder to her arm between shots when she and Hal are talking with their hands on the RV.
Nitpick: It's surprising that the boys didn't discover the secret entrance to the bomb shelter in "Mini-Bike" when they tried burying it in the sandbox, or that Dewey didn't find it burying himself in the sandbox during the cold open of "Reese Drives."
When Lois is consulting Malcolm on his romantic life, her hand shifts from the rear-view mirror to the front fender, and back to the mirror between shots.
Malcolm: So, I'll see you tomorrow? Danielle: Right. Oh, there was one more thing. (kisses Malcolm) Nope, that wasn't it. See ya.
Dewey: What if we do everything on his "To Do" board and then let him out? Reese: That's brilliant. He couldn't be mad at us if we did all this for him. He's got stuff on here that he's been meaning to do for years. (reads note) "Change Dewey's diaper."
Malcolm: Can we please just get my underwear and get out of here? Lois: Malcolm, you know it's hard to buy underwear for you. You have your father's irregular crotch. Hal: Nothing to be ashamed of, son. If a woman really loves you, it won't bother her a bit.
Malcolm: (aside) Turns out, I'm naturally talented at science and dancing. Two things that are guaranteed to get me beat up.
Cold Open: Dewey holds his tongue against a lit light bulb while Reese counts. After Dewey pulls away, Reese (with a lisp) claims he still holds the record.
