  • Good

    8.0
Dewey hides a dog from Lois and Hal, and when Reese and Malcolm find it they plan on telling Lois and Hal after they get back from a romantic dinner. And as soon as they leave, Dewey's dog turns out to be a vicious one, and Dewey in turn is going to make Reese and Malcolm do whatever he wants or his dog will attack them.

Now, I see the good this episode has, and it has some comedy, but Dewey is my least favorite of the main family so at times like this I find him incredibly annoying. Still pretty good thoughmoreless
  • This was funny.

    8.5
I wanted the dog to maul everyone! Not really, but that would have been funny. I think this was a good episode and it had some funny bits here and there. The writing was okay and the plot was decent. I will admit I thought that the dog looked rather harmless, but that's easy to say when you're a viewer. Either way, I thought that it was funny. My favorite parts of the show had to be where Dewey decide to take control of his brothers. I liked the fact that they were scared and it made for some funny bits. I also liked seeing Hal and Lois sick as it was awkward and strange. Thank you.moreless
  • Hilarious!

Dewey finds a lost dog. He takes it home. Malcolm and Reese plan to bust him. Lois and Hal go on a romantic date, but both get sick. Francis and Eric see Commandant Spangler. He is desperately unsuccessful after Francis left. Dewey trains his dog to threaten Malcolm and Reese. Craig joins in after coming over. Dewey has trapped all three and is blackmailing them.

This was a really funny episode! I liked the song that Craig, Malcolm and Reese sang to Dewey. The whole thing was funny! It was cool seeing Spangler again. I give this episode a 10 out of 10!moreless
  • Dewey gets revenge on Malcolm and Reese!

    9.3
Malcolm and Reese had been torturing Dewey all the time, so Dewey finally gets revenge by bringing a dog into the house, and hiding it from Hal and Lois. When the parents went out for dinner, Dewey started torturing the boys, and used his dog as a threat. He made Malcolm and Reese do a lot of humiliating and difficult things, like making them dressed in girls' clothing, and making them write an extra long list on why Dewey's the best brother. He had them under control until Craig came to help. Meanwhile, when Hal and Lois are out for dinner, neither of them were having a great time, because they were really sick and didn't want to tell each other.

This episode's another great episode, and overall, my favorite part was when Dewey makes the boys (and Craig) wear girls' clothing.moreless
  • Dewey has total control!

    9.1
While walking home, Dewey encounters a dog that he wants to keep, Malcolm and Reese find out and are about to tell their parents, but later find out that is pretty funny how does Dewey does in order to prevent from getting caught. When Dewey makes some trouble, Malcolm and Reese begin to threat him again, but this time Dewey uses his dog as a safeguard and the boys are forced to follow his orders, luckily for the boys, Craig arrives just in time. Meanwhile, Francis is visited by Spangler and tries to find him a job, and Lois and Hal are out with flu sickness.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • The third time someone from the family (you could say inadvertently, too) does something bad to Craig. Malcolm and Reese trick him into running and the dog chases him (the inadvertently is on Dewey's part; he didn't mean to hurt Craig, just scare him into doing whatever he wanted).

    • When Hal comes into Lois' office, you can see Craig in the office behind her sitting up straight in his chair then he gets up and leaves after staring at Hal for a while. When Hal turns around, Craig is lying on the couch sick.

  • QUOTES (11)

    • Craig: Number 2: your twinkling eyes.

    • Hal: All I wanted was a nice evening with my wife. I even dug up the wedding vows I never was able to read to her.
      Craig: What happened?
Hal: She went into labor with Francis in the middle of the ceremony.

    • Malcolm: I never knew we had fancy silverware. When was the last time you used this?
Lois: The night you were conceived. You want more details?
      Malcolm: No!

    • (Dewey is at the hospital after having his stomach pumped)
      Hal: Well?
Doctor: Well, we didn't find any candles, but we did find some marbles and the waistband to a pair of underpants.
      Dewey: Don't ask.

    • Hal: (to Dewey) Do you want your army men?
(Dewey looks at bed pan, turns his head towards Hal, and shakes his head)

    • Craig (entering the house): Hey, boys. I just came to bring the mail and some pants from the laundry service...
Malcolm: Craig, you have to help us, Dewey has gone completely mad.
(Craig turns and Dewey locks the door)
Dewey: Sorry, that you watch this.
(next scene we see Reese, Malcolm, and Craig dressed as women, singing to Dewey)

    • Francis: Okay, just for argument's sake, let's say Dr. Bombay was one of the M*A*S*H surgeons. I'd still want Hawkeye operating on my perforated aorta. It's experience that counts.

    • Francis: Eric, I think I just saw Commandant Spangler outside.
Eric: Spangler? Francis, there are some things you really shouldn't joke about.

    • (After having Craig take off alone to deal with the dog...)
Reese: Craig is so good to us.

    • Craig, Malcolm, Reese: We're stinky and evil, we're jarming sarcastic, while Dewey and contrast is super fantastic. That's why Dewey is king.

    • Hal: I don't get it. An entire roast?!?!?
Dewey: I was hungry I guess.
Hal: An entire stick of butter? (picks up a candle) You ate a candle.
Dewey (grabs candle and takes a bite out of it): I like candles.
Hal: That's it mister. We're taking you to the hospital to get your stomach pumped.

  • NOTES (3)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Orderly: (reading Hal's wedding vows to Lois) You're the Duran to my Duran. Her name is Lois and she dances on the sand.

Hal's wedding vows include a reference to British band Duran Duran and their 1983 hit Rio. Its chorus starts with the line "Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand."
