  • Nothing important happened

Francis and Piama become nude models to make money. Francis really gets into it and when they cut him off, he is very upset. Malcolm meets a guy, Leonard, who plays chess all day. His life is pathetic, so Malcolm tries to help him by finding him a job so he can pay off his debt. Dewey keeps doing crazy things because he claims that the baby told him to. Hal likes Lois when she's big, so he tries to put sugar and other things in her food and drinks.

This episode was good! I wanted to kill Dewey! Why was he doing all those things just for attention!? I didn't like Malcolm's storyline. This episode gets an 8.0 out of 10!moreless
  • Well...

Malcolm meets a man that is exactly like him, and when Malcolm realizes that, he intends to help Leonard to get a better life, a better job, and everything, that soon Leonard rejects, because he has done very good. Fearing that might happen to him, Malcolm gets Leonard with Craig in order to get a job, but Leonard soon discovers that he is unable against Craig because he is the most obnoxious guy on Earth, finally Leonard gives up, but tells Malcolm that he is sure he is going to do fine. This episode could have been a lot better, but itwas not boring, I like the Craig part.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • When Leonard tells the kid in the park to turn his music down, he calls him Casey Casum. Casey Casum was a popular radio personality who hosted his own national Top 40 Countdown. He was also voiced many cartoon characters, including Shaggy from the original Scooby Doo cartoon.

    • Hal likes it when Lois is really big, so he tries to fatten her up.

    • In the last chess scene of the show where Leonard and Malcolm set up the chess pieces on the board, just before George comes over and knocks over all the pieces to ask Leonard for money - Malcolm who set up the white pieces on the board, had arranged the white king and queen wrongly!

    • In one of the scenes where Leonard and Malcolm are playing chess, after Leonard tells a passing guy to shut off the music he calls crap, observe the white bishop on the board. After a few shots, it suddenly disappears from the scene!

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Craig: Greetings, earthlings.
Leonard: (crying) Oh, my God, you've got to be kidding me.
      Craig: I'm waiting, princess.

    • Leonard: Hey, Casey Peterson, could you do us all a favor and turn that crap off?
      Casey: It's not loud.
Leonard: I didn't say it was loud, I said it was crap.

    • Leonard: This is a terrible idea.
Malcolm: No, this is just what you need. Remember? A job, people, a life?
      Leonard: But why here?
Malcolm: Because this is the only guy I know that would trade a job interview for a Hong Kong Phooey lunchbox.

  • NOTES (4)

    • Cold Open: Malcolm tricks Reese into doing things to beat a world record, however none of the things are actual records. He keeps saying that he will tell him the truth.

    • Reese (Justin Berfield) only appears in two scenes of this episode. The first is the cold open, the second is with Dewey.

    • Jason Alexander was one of the Executive Producers on Agent Cody Banks and Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London.

    • There are many references to Jason Alexander's career. As Leonard in this episode he sells toner over the phone, the same occupation Phoebe had on "Friends" when she discovers Jason Alexander's character is going to commit suicide as well as referring to the man he owes money to as 'George' who was Jason's best known character from "Seinfeld" . Malcolm's line about "playing chess with people who can't stand you" may also be a reference to a "Seinfeld" episode where Alexander's character George Costanza remembers a gym teacher who called him "can't stand ya".
