Stevie learns that Kitty and Abe got a divorce. Abe never told him. Malcolm is upset that Stevie won't express his feelings and just sits there. Hal tries to replace Kitty. Dewey tries to go back to infancy. Reese finds Lois's old high school journal, not knowing that it's hers. He falls in love with the girl writing it, but then he finds out that it's Lois's. Francis and Otto have to kill a horse, but they don't want to.

This episode was great! I loved Reese's storyline! So funny! I recognized Kyle Searles. I didn't really like Dewey's plot though. It was weird. This episode gets a 9.5 out of 10 from me!moreless
  • Bye, Bye, Kitty

    8.2
Abe keeps telling Stevie that his mother is on a two month trip to somewhere and will come in time to see his basketball game, until Reese intentionally tells Stevie that Abe and Kitty divorce two months ago. Malcolm tries everything to do to make Stevie to react again and play with wheelchair basketball but nothing works, until Abe talks to him and convince him out. Meanwhile, Reese finds the diary of a girl that turns out to be his own mother, and well sort of trouble are made there. It was an average episode, not that funny.moreless

    • In this episode, Francis states he never killed anything bigger than a poodle to Otto, yet in Season 4 episode "Long Drive," he accidentally killed Otto's cow Helga.

    • Notice when the piece of wrapping flies onto Stevie's face. The back (with the dietary information) is showing. But when Malcolm comes to pull it off, the front (with the name and logo) is showing.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Reese: Why don't you just admit it? Nobody in this house cares about my hair but me!

    • Lois: What on earth are you doing?
Malcolm: I have to practice being in a wheelchair...
Hal: I suppose that makes sense. You'll never know... all it takes is one horrible accident and you end up in one of those for the rest of your life.
      Malcolm: Just for basketball...
      Hal: That's the spirit!

    • (Reese reading a girl's diary and visualizing a kiss for the girl)
Lois: Reese! I thought I told you to take out the... (sees Reese reading a diary) What are you doing with my old diary?
(Reese pauses and visualizes a kiss from his mom and screams loudly)

    • Malcolm: (in a wheelchair) Well, I'm officially qualified for wheelchair basketball.

    • Stevie: (with computer) Thanks, Malcolm, that is what I really needed to hear.
      Malcolm: Oh, good.
Stevie: (with computer) This thing sucks at sarcasm.
