Why didn't Malcolm lay down across the front seat and kick out the window? There is a possibility that he would have been cut because that particular car didn't feature safety glass, but that's better than certain death from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Malcolm has an obsession with his new car, which is ironic because Frankie Muniz is a car fanatic. He owns several rare and expensive cars, and he races as well.
In the scene where Craig is talking to Fred's son, the music in the background is Talk to the Hand by: Michele Vice-Maslin.
Goof: After Stevie saves Malcolm from asphyxiating in the garage, he drops him to the ground so he can breathe. While being grateful, Malcolm tells him that the wheel of his wheelchair is on his crotch. But the next shot on Stevie shows the wheel by the side of Malcolm's leg, not between them. In fact, he would have had to roll the chair up close to Malcolm past his legs to be on top of his crotch.
Malcolm's car was actually a 1968 Barracuda. Side marker lights were not required until 1968. The small round lights located at the four corners of the show's car indicate that it was a '68. The 1967 Barracuda had none. Also, the decal on the rear fenders of the car were from a 1970 HEMI Cuda, and the engine shown was a small block 340.
At the very begining when Hal discovers that Jamie ate the car keys, you see a hand holding Jamie's arm down and Jamie's shirt goes from untucked to tucked.
Lois: Craig, how could you lie to me after all I've done for you? I let you sleep on our floor when you thought your cat's ghost was trying to killing you. I settled that feud between you and the Girl Scout Troop. Craig: They started it. Lois: Shut up!
Reese: You are going to be so proud of me. Malcolm: Why? Reese: I spent the last five nights in a chat room reeling in this creep named Heinrich. I got his address and showed up at his house with a printed transcript of our conversations. He calls me "Sugarbuns" 15 times on nine separate occasions. Malcolm: Reese... Reese: So, the guy starts crying, "What about my wife? What about my kids? I'll do anything." Entrapment. It's not just for police anymore.
Malcolm: Wow! Blackmailing a pervert to facilitate underage gambling. How could this not work out?
Malcolm: I don't want to live in a world where Reese is right.
Cold Open: Hal finds out that Jamie ate the car keys after Jamie's stomach beeps the car on and off.
