Recurring Role |
Hal says that he and Lois have only been married for twenty years, and Francis is confused because he is twenty-one. He has the right to be confused because according to other episodes he was born on or close to Hal and Lois' wedding.
Malcolm, Reese, Dewey, Francis and Hal were injured in this episode.
This episode marks the first time Lois and Piama begin to bond, the cause being their shared anger at being ditched by Hal and Francis respectively.
Lois says that Hal and Francis won't even think about the consequences until five minutes before they come home. This turns out to be dead on, as they begin to panic right when it is time for them to return.
When Francis and Hal are being hosed by the lady at the mud spa, Hal has his face washed, then he turns, and then when the frame changes, they are much more clean all over.
Cold Open: Dewey seems to be begging for a beating from Reese. He is, but Reese doesn't hit him. Dewey then explains to Lois that Reese really is sick.
In this episode we learn that Francis had a drinking problem and to go to AA for help. The funny thing is he wasn't even 21 (the legal drinking age in the US).
Chicken Soup for the Soul
The book Hal was reading was Chicken Soup for the Soul by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen. Its popularity has created many spinoff books for all different kinds of people.
