  • Nice episode.

    8.5
I thought that the best part of the episod had to be where Malcolm actually got a hot girl to like him, in a way. I think she was really hot at least. Getting back to the episode, I liked it because of its humor and comedy. In fact, it was actually very entertaining and funny. My favorite part had to be where Malcolm first meets the girl and she reveals that she actually is pretty smart. Overall, this was a good episode with plenty of entertainment, decent writing, refreshing storylines, and funny moments here and there. I liked it. Thank you.moreless

Malcolm learns that Vicki, a hot popular blonde, is actually really smart. They start dating, but she doesn't want to be seen with him because it'll put her popularity in danger. Jessica convinces Malcolm to break up with her and also leads him on. When Malcolm goes to Jessica, she tells him that she really doesn't like him in that way. They kiss, but she says there's no spark. Hal is pushing Dewey to get a free game on the mini-golf course after Dewey is ripped off. He made a hole-in-one on the eighteenth hole, but didn't get a free game like they advertise because the ball got stuck. Lois makes Reese live without the benefits unless he gets a job. She even kicks him outside, but then after she hurts her back and he takes care of her, she lets him move back in.

This episode was great! Vicki was funny! I recognized Sarah Wright and Erik Von Detten! This episode gets a 10 out of 10 from me!moreless

Since the pilot i have seen all of the episodes, i watched this one & loved it too. It\'s really nice to see caracters growing in time as the story goes on in the series. Knowing that the series has ended, makes me to wait for the next episode more excitedly. I believe someday in future this series shall be a good collective dvd package to buy and keep.
  • I think that both Malcolm's and Reese's storylines were great!

This episode of Malcolm in the Middle was just hilarious.

Malcolm being the secret boyfriend of a girl who's actually popular but in reality she's smart and she wants to have a smart boyfriend - Malcolm! However, they can't show their affection publicly.

Lois realizing that if Reese keeps going like he's now, he'll never move out and he'll always be living in his parents' house. So she bursts into his room in the middle of the night and forces him to get a job.

    Favorite Quote:

Reese: I had the weirdest dream last night. A scruffy old witch came into my room and wanted to kill me. But for some reason it was really important to her that I get a job.

Malcolm: Yeah, she appears in a lot of my dreams, too.

Lois: [to Reese]: Reese, you gotta find yourself a job today.

    Reese: Now, that's freaky!moreless
  • Malcolm is now the boyfriend of a very popular girl, but she's embarassed to be seen with him in public. Hal tries to avenge Dewey against his will. Lois kicks Reese out of the house when he refuses to get a job.moreless

The opening scene was good. Francis is absent again unfortunately. I'm sure Vicky would be even more embarassed to go out with me. I can't belive Reese would stay at home even when he's 18, what job will he get later? If Lois locks everything from him, how does the others get food and water? I'm glad to see Dewey get back at Hal like that. It's funny how Malcolm's genius is no good for situations like that, this kind of reminds me of myself sometimes. I'm certain that Malcolm and Reese got their idoicy from Hal. Malcolm seems really short compared to other people.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • When Vicki is pretending to be superficial and stupid in front of Malcolm, she says she had to take part in a discussion whether gloss or glitter is better. Malcolm whispers to her that he thought the issue was resolved with Fermat's Last Theorem, causing Vicki to laugh. Fermat's Last Theorem is a famous conjecture by a French mathematician in the 17th century that was only proven in 1995. This is one of the most famous theorems in mathematics.

    • The song playing in the background during Lois' dream sequence about her and Hal when they are old is a modified version of the Malcolm theme song.

    • Malcolm and Reese's high school looks different than it did in seasons 4-6.

    • Goof: Reese seemed to use a page of a Spider-Man comic book for toilet paper, but the magazine cover wasn't a Marvel publication.

    • In the scene where Dewey shows Hal his score in Mini-Golf, on the fridge there is a picture of Mojo Jojo holding an ancient dog head statue from Episode 103 - "Monkey See, Doggie Do."

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Lois: (about Reese) What are we going to do about him, Hal? He shows absolutely no interest in his future.
Hal: I'm sorry, honey. I thought you had given up on him too.

    • Vicki: I think it's really romantic. It's like Romeo & Juliet. Our love has to be hidden.
      Malcolm: I'm not hiding it.
      Vicki: I wish you would.

    • (Opening scene in which Malcolm brings Reese a soda as they sit down to watch TV):
Malcolm: Here, I brought one for you.
Reese: Thanks. And now I'll take yours because you obviously shook mine up. (Switches cans) Wait a minute! You wanted me to do that! (Switches cans again) Of course you had to have known I was going to know that! (Switches again) Unless you didn't think I was smart enough. But I'm smarter than... You know what? I'm not smart enough to figure it out! So what? Big deal! (Goes to fridge and opens a different can which is shaken and sprays him with soda as he screams)
Malcolm: I'm not sure if I have the gift or he does.

    • (Reese is at the toilet, with no toilet paper, reading a Spider-man comic)
      Reese: I'm sorry Spider-man.

    • Lois: Do you mind telling me what you intend to do?
Reese: I'd like to finish my cereal.
