  • Decent stuff.

    8.0
I liked many things in this episode and I have to say that it was actually quite funny in some parts. With Malcolm being in the hospital and the family down to 4 at home, it made for an interesting show. The family didn't know what to do and found themselves eventually having a great time without Malcolm. But things would turn sour when they realized that thye couldn't handle it. Francis tried a hunger strike but failed at the very end when he was about to win. Overall, a decent episode that had some good moments and some funny bits here and there. Thank you.moreless
  • Funny!

Malcolm has a pain in his side. Lois takes him to the hospital where they say that he has appendicitus. Malcolm hates it at the hospital, where the doctors are rude and he is in the kid's room. He finds out that he may not have appendicitus but the doctors don't listen to him. He finally convinces them just before they perform surgery. Hal, Reese, Lois and Dewey get caught up in a board game. Francis and the guys go on a hunger strike, but it doesn't work out exactly the way the wanted.

This episode was great! It was really funny! I liked the part where Francis came out and says they got the magic hat. This episode gets a 10 out of 10!moreless
  • Good episode!

    9.0
This episode was really cool, I like very much the part where the family plays Divide and Conquer against each other and become completely paranoic about the game, and begin to get deeper and deeper into insanity who see who is the winner, and every time it get worse, also Malcolm begins to realize that there are really weird things going on the hospital when he sees a corpse being taken away and when he is threatened to a laser that will open up his fore head, but luckily manages to get over it without a scratch. This episode is really cool and I think that is really cool!moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • If you listen very closely while the music is playing, you can hear a heartbeat monitor beeping and then go in the continuous beat which means cardiac arrest. It then switched to Helmut dragging what appears to be a body down the hall.

  • QUOTES (16)

  • NOTES (1)

    • Cold Open: Hal fixes the sink, but does a poor job at it, and Lois complains. Hal says he is saving them money still. The lights flicker and Hal says that there is someone at the door.

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • Mork and Mindy
When Spangler takes the TV away, he mentions Mork and Mindy. Mork and Mindy was a hugely popular sitcom starring Robin William, which was about an alien (Mork) who had come to Earth.

    • March and Conquer:

The game the family plays is very similar to the popular Hasbro and Parker Brothers game "Risk."
