Mama Mirabelle's Home Videos is an animated children's TV series created by Douglas Wood as it centers on three young resident of the African savanna Ð Max, a young toddler of an elephant; Karla, a thoughtful and inquisitive Zebra foal; and the adventurous cheetah Cub, Bo Ð as they sate their curiosity with the advice and home movies of Max's kindhearted and patient mother, Mama Mirabelle. Whether it is on Max's jealousy of other animals being able to do things before him to Karla's frustration at being easy to spot with her stripes to nature's wild calls, Mama Mirabelle shares her home videos from around the world to answer those questions. The home videos are often live-action material from National Geographic and BBC Natural History Unit archives that show a number of wildlife topics, including animal calls, nocturnal creatures, camouflage, and animal skills.
