Man Against Crime

Show Summary

Earliest of all network television detective yarns, Man Against Crime starred Ralph Bellamy as the pertinacious freelance detective Mike Barnett, whose sojourns among the seedier urban dwellers made for some unadulterated viewing in the days of pre-censored television programming. Well composed by some of the more accomplished writers of live television drama, including Vincent Bogert, Burton Benjamin, William Kendall Clark and Max Erlich, whose neatly constructed and literate teleplays have not in this genre been rivaled. In syndication, the series' 1952-'54 filmed episodes were shown as Follow That Man.
