Les knows more about what he is doing than Bear. Bear puts himself into danger whilst Les shows you ways to keep you out of danger enitirely. Bear isn't bad and I watch his show sometimes but he isn't better than Les when it comes to survival.

Bear takes unnecessary risks for entertainment purposes. It's hardly a survival show, he runs around eating everything he sees and wastes his energy. Basically he's the Steve Irwin of survival. At least Les goes out alone for a week, carries around all that camera gear, builds proper shelters, makes fire without a flint and properly turns his urine into water.

He's a lot tougher than Les Stroud, and smarter for that matter. Les is boring, but he does know his stuff. I'd like to see him do half the stuff Bear does.

Yeah but Bear stages all of his stuff..its for entertainment value.. Les shows you how to survive for seven days. Bear puts himself in unnecesarry danger whereas Les shows you how to avoid it...Bear tries to go for the easy knockout and get out his situation...while Les conserves his energy and shows how to endure seven days in case a search party is looking for you....Bear GRylls FTW
