Marienhof is a German soap opera that aired for over a decade in Europe,
garnering huge audiences starting in 1995. Set in the suburbs, the show
follows an expansive cast of characters as they go through the travails
of a host of social issues, such as AIDS, homosexuality, rape, child
abuse, cancer, drugs, murder, infidelity, and suicide. It primarily
revolves around the Busch family, watched over by the patriarch Marco
(Stefan Maab). The show produced over three thousand episodes.
