    • Robert Englund, who plays the devil in this episode, is best known for playing the evil Freddy Krueger in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" movies, as well as the TV series "Freddy's Nightmares".

  • Quotes

    • Marcy: Come on Al, you know the drill. We can't leave until you repeat the insult.
Al: Ooookay, look who's crossed the road. I'd say it was a chicken but it doesn't have any breasts. Just nuggets.
Jefferson: And it takes 10 of them to make a decent meal.

    • Al: (After the D'Arcy's arrive in hell.) What happened?
Marcy: Well, I was dancing next to your grave, I slipped on some confetti, the next thing you know, here I am.
Al: How did you get here?
Jefferson: It was a conga line.

    • Al: I would sell my soul to play for the Bears. (Doorbell rings. Al gets up and answers it.)
Lucifer: Good afternoon. I'm here to fix your television.
Al: Nothing wrong with my television. (Lucifer snaps his fingers. The t.v. zaps and smoke comes out of it.) Uh, my wife needs some fixing too.

    • Al: There's no Hell like home.

    • Lucifer: For the next millenium, you will be dining exlusively on the most hideous food known to man... Weenie Tots.
      Al: I love those.
Lucifer: Well, what you don't know is that a steady diet of Weenie Tots will cause you to spend eternity in the bathroom.
Al: Why do you think I love 'em?
Lucifer: All right, Mr Bundy. Since you find hell such a picnic... how about this - For the rest of eternity you'll never see your family again.
      Al: This is heaven.

    • Al: (When he just reached hell) It's hot as hell down here... oh yeah right.

  • Notes

  • Allusions

    • Both the title and main plot are plays on the musical, Damn Yankees, where the Devil gives a Washington Senators baseball fan a chance to become a star slugger for his beloved team.

    • Lucifer: I'm the Devil!

Robert Englund played a similar storyline on the Episode of Justice League Paradise Lost. He plays Felix Faust selling his soul to Lord Hades(the Greek version of the devil) for ultimate knowledge. Here he is the devil, offering Al a chance to play for the Bears in exchange for his soul.
