everyone seems to be comparing the war at home to mwc. they really can't.

    let's compare, MWC:
al always relives his football glory days
    al can't get any respect
peg is always stealing from his wallet
peg doesn't have a job, and is lazy
    the kids hate him
    the son loves hooters
and the daughter is a slut
the family eats toaster leavin's right out of the toaster

    now, w@h:
the father doesn't relive old glory days
the wife has a job, and they try to manage finances
the kids hate the parents, but the son is not sex crazed, and the daughter's supposedly a virgin
the family has enough money to buy food
the parents smoke pot (not a good thing), but MWC never did that

people can't really compare, the two shows may both have aired on FOX, and on sunday's, but they are very different?

I think that people is comparing because they are both disfunctional families.

Wasn't there a show on WB several years ago that was another copy of "Married". I think it was called "Unhappily Ever After".

I can't see the similarities between Married with Children and War at Home. And anyway, War at Home sucks.

The Bundy's couldnt care less about there kids while the Gold's are trying to help there kids not do the same stuff they did when they were kids.

The War at Home is a pathetic attempt at comedy and I would be more entertained watching mail sorting. However Married With Children is funny as hell and the parents are like exact copies of mine. MWC is way more realistic then WAH and WAH sucks #####.

How dare anyone compare these 2 shows. The war at home is pathetic garbage. MWC is classic televsion that started a new era of television. War at home won't even last 2 years. The war at home is a crap-malcolm in the middle time slot stealing-waste of  television air time-horrible attempt at a comedy sitcom-pathetic-utter useless half hour junk- that should have never had an oppurtunity to get on tv- show. I hate it so much that it should never ever be compared to married with children and that it took malcolm in the middle's time slot - 7 years for malcolm and they get thrown on friday night - what the hell is that and for the war at home. Fox sucks and the only similarity these 2 shows have is that they were both on the same garbage network FOX.

WAH is another FOX venture that'll be gone by next year,MWC is a classic that could of lasted until Bud & Kelly ere Al & Peg's ages when the show started, but had to end at only 11 seasons.

War at Home is crap-o-la!  I am sure that it is only being compared to Married...because they are (as someone already mentioned) somewhat dysfuctional families.  I think that the WAH is just a little dysfuctional, whereas MWC is an extreme case.  The characters on MWC were hilarious and enjoyable, whereas the character on WAH are easy to hate.  If you hate the majority of the characters on the show, you will most likely not like it and not watch it.  I REALLY hope this show gets the axe soon!
