No mention is ever made about what happened to the brand new convertable car the Bundys win in this episode.
Catherine Rusoff, who plays Mona Squab in this episode, is the real life wife of Ed O'Neill.
Geoff Pierson who plays Roland Squab, the lubby dubby husband who the Bundys compete against, ironically goes on to play the role of Jack Malloy, Al Bundy's counterpart or ripoff, in the series Unhappily Ever After by Rob Leavitt the same creator of Married With Children.
As revealed in this episode, Steve and Marcy have been married for thirteen months, and Peggy and Al for sixteen years.
David Leisure's character Bink Winkleman is an obvious parody of Wink Martindale, the host of Gambit, a gameshow that ran from 1972 to 1976 on CBS.
Marcy: The car is ours.
Peggy: You get that car over Al's dead body.
Steve: So, stole our mail and our names, huh?
Peggy: How'd you find out?
Steve: Your kids sold you out for a square meal.
Peggy: (explaining as Marcy about banking business) Well, mostly we take out these big fancy ads telling people to come in for a loan and then we laugh at them when they do.
Al: Gee Steve, I'm a little short this week, I got my paycheck.
Steve: Take your own crusted laundry, beat it against the rock but keep it out of our house.
Al: But our washing machine's broken.
Steve: No it isn't, it's married to me and I'm taking it back.
Al: Hey look Steve, what do you want us to do, start paying for the detergent?
Al: Hey Peg, what's for breakfast.
Peggy: Nothing.
Al: We had that yesterday. But you sure know how to make it.
Al: I welcome death!
Al: What's it gonna be, Bink? Hand grenade down the pants? Spear in the pelvis? Don't keep me in suspense here. The wife needs a new a car!
(On the game show)
Marcy: (Alarmed) Oh Steve, I didn't know there'd be electric chairs!
Steve: It doesn't matter. Juice me until I'm ash, they are not getting that car.
How Do I Love Thee is a fictional TV game show.
