The Bundys attempt to escape the hotel after being attacked by the axe murderer, only to find their tires slashed and the only bridge out of town washed out. Matters are made a lot worse when the killer takes Peg hostage.

Marcy is infuriated when she catches Steve ogling a woman repairing the Bundys' refrigerator. Peg convinces Marcy to get even by joining her and her friends on a clandestine trip the strip club, which Marcy soon regrets.
Al is outraged when the phone company refuses to remove an $80 erroneous charge from his bill. He decides to take a stand by refusing to pay it, which only proves to be a punishment for his family and the Rhoades.
Al discovers his license has lapsed after being pulled over while giving Kelly driving lessons. His bravado causes him to fail his driving test, which jeopardizes his chance to go to the track to bet on a long-shot horse he is convinced will win.
Steve returns from a five day business trip with a newly grown beard, which Marcy immediately demands he shave off. Steve refuses to comply, and becomes a productive member of the Bundy household while he engages in a battle of wills with Marcy.
Al becomes preoccupied with Peg's lack of softball skills and doesn't take notice of Kelly's new boyfriend. However, he fears Kelly may be about to make a horrible mistake after Peg is visited by her vengeful and long forgotten high school flame.
The new Lakeside Mall is having Santa Clause parachute onto their parking lot as part of a televised promotional event. Unfortunately, a malfunctioning parachute causes Santa to plummet to his death in the Bundys' backyard.
Al and Steve are forced to comb the streets in search of Marcy's beloved Barbie doll when she discovers they traded it for a set to vintage Chicago Cubs baseball cards. Meanwhile, Bud sabotages Kelly's attempt to complete a book report for school.
The Bundys are forced to spend the night in the shoe store while their house is fumigated for termites. Meanwhile, Kelly schemes to escape and attend a rock concert after being grounded for a bad report card.
Al wins $1,250 while at the track with Steve, and desperately tries to hide it from Peg until he figures out what to do with it. Meanwhile, Steve wins $50 and contemplates if he should share it with Marcy.
Peg's hillbilly relatives from Wanker county pay a visit. Fighting uncles, singing triplet aunts, whose showbiz career is threatened by Al's inputs, and Al is trying all he can to watch the John Wayne film "Hondo."
