    • QUOTES (9)

      • Ruri: It has been written that justice is nothing more than which is in the greatest self-interest of the largest portion of the population. Similarly, history is merely a written record from the point of view of the winners.

      • Jun: Hey, Yurika performed honourably as the captain of the Nadesico.
Akito: And look how we all honourably ended up.

      • Yukina: I guess that some Earthlings are all right.
Minato: But there are a lot of jerks too.

      • Akito: We tried to do what was right, only to find out that's not what Earth wants.

      • Izumi: We ran out of filters so I strained the tea through a copy of Shakespeare. Now I have 'The Tempest' in a teapot- that's trouble brewing. (laughs)
Ryoko: She's finally gone over the edge.
        Hikaru: Way over.

      • Megumi: And how long will this last?
Seiya: Oh probably until the secret about the Jovian lizards really being humans isn't a secret any longer would be my guess. Until we all learn to live in peace and harmony.
        Megumi: When will that be?
Seiya: As soon as the fighting ends and the Earthlings and the Jovians learn to work together as comrades towards building a better future for us all. (aside) When pigs grow wings.
        Megumi: That soon.

      • Saizou: Well, so long, Akito. You really surprised me, you know- coming back like this after disappearing for a year- and with four women with you, no less.
        Jun: Actually, I'm a man.

      • Ryoko: Those jerks don't seem to care that we're not shooting at them, do they?
Yurika: Oh, don't worry about those meanies, Ryoko, it's only a little further until we get to Hiratsuka.
Ryoko: Please don't interfere with my mood swings, captain.

      • Yurika: Have no fear!
        Goat: The captain's here.

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • News Reporter: As our forces continue to drive the Jovian forces back beyond the Earth's Lagrange Point.
In a system with 2 bodies (e.g. Earth and Sun), there are five Lagrange points where the gravitational fields of the two bodies cancel out such any object at that point stays at a fixed position from the 2 bodies. The reporter was probably referring the Earth-Sun "L2" Lagrange point- this is outside the Earth's orbit, so the Jovians have withdrawn from the Earth and the Moon.
