    • TRIVIA (0)

    • QUOTES (10)

      • Ruri: Can you believe what we found inside- Gekigangar merchandise. And I thought this was supposed to be a realistic anime.

      • Munetake: We'd have total panic on our hands. And what's worse, the top brass would blame me for everything!

      • Yurika: I'm getting sick and tired of the way you treat my Akito. Either you stop bothering him, or else I'll-
        Erina: Or you'll do what?
        Yurika: Uh?
Erina: Hit me? Kick me? Rearrange my hair? Well?
        Yurika: Uh, well-

      • Minato: And I suppose after the war's over, you'll be wanting a nice little family to come home to?
Goat: Uh, I'd rather not talk about my private life.
Minato: So, am I part of your private life- or your job?
Goat: I can accept either, but not both.

      • Ruri: All systems are nominal.
Minato: Huh? Oh, my goodness, Ruri, how long have you been here?
Ruri: I got here before you did.
        Minato: Oh, really?
Ruri: However, since I'm just a young girl, I wouldn't understand such an adult conversation.

      • Hikaru: Aw, is it over already?
        Goat: Hmm?
(Ryoko, Hikaru and Izumi have been hiding behind Ruri's console, listening in.)
Ryoko: Shh- be quiet, you idiot!
        Goat: You three!
Ryoko: We were just servicing the panel under there when the two of you walked in, and since it would have been rude to interrupt, we didn't- anyway, we couldn't really hear nothing! Right? Right?

      • Yurika: Well, I guess the reason I'm here is because at home nobody ever thought of me as anything except my father's daughter. And it was the same all the way through school, and even at the university. But here on the Nadesico, I feel like I have a purpose, that I'm part of doing something important.
Erina: You mean that's all there is? Nothing more?
Yurika: Well, there's also the part about capturing Akito's heart and living happily ever after- just like in the movies!

      • Minato: It seems to me that she's been doing a pretty good job as captain thus far.
Erina: Do you think all the people that died on the ship would agree with that?

      • Yurika: Well, maybe my goals aren't quite as grandiose as yours are, but I think that protecting the Nadesico and Akito is pretty important as well. And I don't think there's anything wrong with not wanting to be a big shot- if you're doing something that helps other people achieve their own goals.

      • Kumi: In a place like this, you learn that the fact that you live and somebody else dies doesn't mean anything- just that you're lucky and they weren't.

    • NOTES (5)

      • Ruri says idiots twice in this episode.

      • The "Let's Go Gekigangar III" song is used again in this episode.

      • Gekigangar Episode 13 is called "The Tragic Holy Night! Satan Clock M!" In it, Gekigangar must fight Rokuro, the older brother of Nanako, who has turned to the dark side.

      • Kumi's mother slip of calling the Nadesico the Yamato is a reference to the Nadesico manga. In the manga, the Nadesico incorporates systems from the Yamato (discovered in the ruins on Mars), and from then on is known as the Yamato-Nadesico. 'Yamato-Nadesico' is a pun on the Japanese phrase 'Yamato Nadeshiko' meaning 'the perfect woman.'

      • We get our first look at the Jovians in this episode.
