    • QUOTES (12)

      • Ryoko: Doing something stupid to make up for something else you've done is pretty idiotic anyway. At some point you have to accept responsibility.

      • Akito: Why should I owe him anything? He took the coward's way out by dying like that. How can one life pay for all those who were slaughtered by him?
Howmei: Since when has death been fair?

      • Akito: Why did we have to be saved by a low-life murderer like him? He only did it because he had run out of options. It wasn't courage.

      • Fukube: I was not a good admiral, probably was no better a man. Here I am spending my last minutes forcing others to abide by my wishes. But let me just say this- the Nadesico is your ship. It belongs to you, all of the anger, the hatred and the passion, all of what you feel is yours.

      • Akito:Why are you all trying to make this look so honourable?
(he isn't too impressed by the admiral's sacrifice)

      • Izumi: And whose name did you just call?
Hikaru: Yes, I heard it too, Izumi.
Ryoko: Uh, no, you guys just misunderstood. I just forgot that he wasn't here, that's all!
        Izumi+Hikaru: Tenkawa!
Ryoko: All right, name your price, you blackmailers.

      • Inez: This is very strange.
        Akito: What?
Inez: Well, when I look at you, it feels as if I've known you for a very long time.
(Yurika appears on a screen between them)
Yurika: Excuse me, but aren't you two getting a little too close?

      • Inez: It may sound rather callous, but who's dead and who's alive really doesn't mean that much to me.

      • Inez: But I forget that I feel a little different from most people- in my heart, that is.
Ruri: Yes, even I find you strange.

      • Goat: Is producing this video your idea of a sick joke?
Inez: No, my idea of a sick joke is your so-called rescue mission.

      • Inez: …and for goodness' sakes, smile!
        Ruri: Smile?
Yurika: That's right, Ruri, just relax and pretend like you're a normal kid.

      • The sad thing is, I used to do shows like this, only worse.
