    Well the 50s had a variety of Tv Detective and cop Shows. Dragnet Starring Jack Webb, Rocking King Dectective, Martin Kane Private Eye was just one of the numerous shows of the late 40s early 50s the show was sponsred by 4 differant Pipe tabacco Old Briar. Dills Best, Model and Tweed. the title role of martin Kane was played by William Gragan in 1949-50 Lloyd Nolan 51-53 and a Actor I cannot Remember the show was proably the first of the decteive shows. so it was popular. but it failed after 2 actors quit after wanting a larger paycheck so this show is now a thing of the past.moreless
