  • Martin, Diana, and Java have found out about Billy's past while they were on the case of the missing minor body parts.

I was a little confused on Billy's occupation before he joined the Center. In Season one episode 19 "Revenge of the Doppleganger" he said he used to be a supermodel back on his home planet. But in this episode; one of the space pirates said he used to be a powerful, ruthless leader who lead his troops to takeover each world, stripping them of their natural resources. Either the script writers didn't get the story straight or Billy used to be a supermodel and then became a powerful alien. I wonder of they have "Billy's life story (before he went to Earth and joined the Center)" in the extras on dvd? I would like to know how that happened and I would like to know how Billy and Martin met.moreless
  • The first episode of MM I ever watched

I haven't watched this episode in a while, but it was really good.It is the best Season 2 episode!I prefer part 2 because it has more in it,and in this one it was just about the radiation. We did get to meet the dumb invaders and we learned Billy's real name.It was still good though,it really got me excited for part 2.I found this episode on a cold Saturday afternoon. There was nothing to do so I was flipping through channels.NN was airing this episode.I never watched MM back then, but I was so bored I gave it a chance.Suddenly,I got hooked!I still worry what would have happend if I never watched this.I loved it alot!I'm making a review of part 2!moreless
  • In New Mexico, minor body parts[teeth, hair, etc]go missing.M.O.M sends them to investigate. Then they find three aliens.Billy comes and they start calling him Ganthar. This forces him to reveal his past. They capture one,but then relize one escaped with Billy.moreless

This episode was great.I used to hate this show. Then when they showed this,I liked it.This is also how I liked Billy. Those stupid aliens were the worst. How dare they hurt him. This is also where we learn about Ganthar and that Billy used to have that name. The parts where they had the lady with the missing teeth and the man with the missing hair was very unnessesary. They should have cut to the chase.Just some more proof that they never show Billy. And anyway,I really liked this episode,it goot me into the series and into Billy.Because when ever I had this on because nothing else was on[I didn't pay attention]I always saw Billy and wondered, who is this guy?moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • How did the aliens know Billy was Ganthar if he was in a different form? Were they watching him that whole time he was gone?

    • When the alien couldn't sneak into the power plant in his human disguise and abandoned his exo-shell why wasn't it left behind for the guard to find?

    • How is it that Billy is Ganthar, but in an earlier episode, he said he was a supermodel on his planet? It would seem that all the people on his planet would be able to transform like he can, unless Billy was "special" or people born with certain genes.
EDITOR NOTE - Alternately Billy was just lying as part of his ongoing efforts to cover up his real past

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Martin: (about Billy's birthday present) Check this out. (pulls out a can of silly string)
Diana: Let me get this straight. You bought Billy a can of silly string?
Martin: Not just any silly string. A super jumbo can of silly string!
Diana: Hello! Super jumbo boring! What's Billy supposed to do with that?
Martin: Well, he could do this for starters. (sprays Diana with silly string)
Diana: Very mature, Martin! Billy's not gonna wanna play with a silly kid's toy! He's an adult. At least I think he's an adult.

    • Billy: I am not like you!

  • NOTES (4)

    • Starman

The aliens in this episode create disguises by obtaining DNA from humans and thus making themselves appear like the human. This method was used by an alien in the 1984 film "Starman" when an extraterrestrial takes a hair from the brush of a deceased man and disguises himself.

    • "The Blob":

In this episode, the aliens are highly sensitive to cold, and Martin stops them with a fire extinguisher in one scene. This may be a reference to the 1958 horror movie "The Blob" in which the monster is defeated with a fire extinguisher.
