Martin becomes angry when his landlord, Mr. Lopez, increases his rent by 5%. As a result, Martin refuses to pay the rent which leads Mr. Lopez to send him an eviction notice, and also cut off the heat during a terrible blizzard. As Martin and the gang suffer through the weather together, Martin attempts to settle his dispute with Mr. Lopez but discovers the landlord in a compromising situation with another tenant's wife. Martin informs Mr. Lopez that he will keep quiet only if Mr. Lopez reduces the rent and turns the heat back on.moreless

I became a fan of Martin this year and this is just another one of the many quality episodes throughout this show's run. The way they captured people's reactions to being snowed in during a blizzard and to dealing with the landlord was just way ahead of its time and this is a show that still holds up today. Tonight's episode was funny, although I could have done without the fart humor.

It was fun to see a young Tracy Morgan here as Hustle Man and he has clearly grown in the comedy department since this show.

But good episode here. Fun storyline, believable reactions from the cast too. And the return of, "Get to steppin!"moreless
