I liked Fitz and Skye scene, I noticed these two characters never do spend time together and it makes me wonder how bad Simmons would take it if Leo is stolen from her side for any give assignment: Should Coulson ever trusts him with May? And why hasn't Ward encouraged self-defense lessons for the only other male character in his team?

Ward and May seemed to be in perfect sync since episode 2 to create more drama, but they could be an effective team if chaos rules any given situation again: Could these two specialists overshare? And if they do, what kind of information are they privy to that the audience is not?

Does Coulson have something against Simmons? If not then why is she the only character he never interacts with? When you see him adress the techs its always Fitz, "A.C." never spends time with Jenna the way he does with Skye, or Simmons bonding with any character other than Fitz.

So, which character would you mix up? How disorderly or natural any given interaction could be? Are Jenna and Skye natural allies or are May & Simmons more likely to bond than Skye & the Calvary? Are Coulson, Fitz an Ward three musketeers just waiting to happen? Or is Fitz more like the son Coulson always dreamed of (which means Ward is not)? etc.

I think they need a couple more episodes of really establishing the team and its normal and comfortable dynamics before they start messing around with it. Like the last two weeks have been about establishing the Ward/Skye partnership (which it seems they will still be dealing with) and while her skills lend herself more to FitzSimmons, they still have to work on them considering her a part of their team. May just got involved and she has to find her place in the dynamic (I think that she will be taking over Skye's training just because they might want to keep a closer eye on her and Ward is actually weirdly trusting). But yeah, you have an idea of how Fitz would interact with everyone, but I don't know how Simmons would interact on her own (I actually sense that the two of them might know something more about Coulson and maybe he instinctually doesn't trust them, or we get the impression that Coulson was more of a hard ass before, he might just be playing that card with the totally socially awkward people.

I'd put May w/ Skye, 'cause I think May's training would force a sense of confidence in Skye as a role model that Ward can never match.
(Plus, I wouldn't mind downplaying the sexual tension 'tween Ward & Skye 'cause historically, my inner geek can't stand when the hot chick always falls for the jock...It would be so much better if Skye eventually falls for Fitz they have alot more in common & it would just be fun to watch)

Coulson I'd pair w. Simmons for the reasons ionee brought up...good call with that! I didn't even think of it till I read this :)

Finally, Ward w/ Fitz for the exact same reason as the May/Skye pair, just flipped: Dude power 101 & all that.

Lastly, I'd pair Nick Fury with a SHIELD approved anger management cousellor

He doesn't have anger managment issues, Nick Fury is just tired of these mother****ing agents on his mother****ing plane (pardon my french).

They did ruin his bar, and wanted to put a fish tank.

To be honest, sometimes it feels like the one thing Coulson and Simmons have in common is Fitz. They both strike me like the only people on this team that would move heaven and earth for Leo.

And I keep going back to the story of Ward protecting his baby brother from their older brother: shouldn't someone like this spend as much time training Fitz as he does training Skye?

I think that Jemma and Skye have shown that they get along. And Skye and Agent May have shown they can work together.

And I think Coulson primarily addresses Fitz because he's the one that comes up with the goofiest things. Simmons as the voice of reason (somewhat), doesn't require as much interaction.

Your point about Ward and his lack of self-defense training for Fitz is valid. Then again, Fitz and Simmons are both already agents. Just, not field agents.

Good questions! I have no idea how things will play out. As long as it's grounded, compelling and their relations continue to evolve in the direction of them becoming a more functional team in the long run, I'm in!

PS: From what I've seen in the latest preview of the next episode, things are definitely going to get mixed up with Skye. More than anyone expected at this point! I advise you to avoid any spoilers or previews until next Wednesday and just enjoy the surprise twist in the next episode. I wish I hadn't seen it and I'm not going to publish it here. Peace!
