Okay, now I'm FINALLY waiting for the next episodes. Before, it was like... hey, there's a new one, I might as well waste time. I'm so glad this show turned out the way it did, albeit after (I'm assuming) losing many viewers who lost interest after the dreadful first several episodes. Good job.

I still suspect they will figure out a way for Ward to really be "good" and for his sins to be forgiven, but I can ignore that if SHIELD continues delivering strong episodes like we had here.

They had a slasher film vibe with Skye running from Ward, they said some solid comedy from Patton Oswalt, and they had us wondering what will happen next week. Not much more you could ask for.moreless
  • No turning back?

It was lovely to meet Coulson's cellist. And Amy was a lovely choice for her. I hope we will get to see her again.

So the dreaded love triangle is gonna be between Fitz, Simmonsand Triplett? I like the idea of romantic FitzSimmons but I hate love triangles. So far they seem to be going the unrequited route. Thoug it's hard to say as right now we are at teh realization stage. And Iain is doing a really great job.

May leaving was an interesting turn. And the way Coulson was treating her, though somewhat understandable if petty, made me with for her to kick his ass. I hope she does at least a little before the season ends. I can't wait for her and maria Hill to meet. And her Mom is cool. She can stay.

I loved the scenes with the lie detector. And I wonder whether Skye's state issued name was a dig at the fans complaining about the character.

Who I'm really afraid for though is Ward. I felt like with killing Eric he crossed a line and they don't plan on redeeming him. Which makes me very sad. It is really interesting now as I cannot really believe anything he says. Though I do believe he came form an extremely abusive household. And I do believe he has feelings for her. I'm not sure how I should read him passing the lie detector. The machine picked up his lies. He did say the truth about Skye though. He was there to get information from her after all.

Skye is now in the know. And the team is split. They are gearing up for a grand finale it seems. I hope they don't disappoint.moreless

I loved Episodes 17/18 but i thought this was a Very weak story Line this is my review 4O65vvWQ In Short, The Lie Detector and WardREALLY? thats how you beat a lie detector? this tension between May & Coulson is unwarranted. Coulson Leaving the Shelter to save his former GF, is this the time to be doing that? i love this series but it has got to get better to survivemoreless

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Grant: As soon as I had the upper hand, I put two in the back of his head.
      Fitz: Good.
Grant: One for me, one from you.
Triplett: I would have emptied the mag.

    • Skye: Quinn is the least scary of the bunch and he shot me. Twice.
Coulson: Quinn is more of a sociopath. Most of those inmates are full blown psychopaths. Violent. Impulsive.
Skye: And some with superpowers. Lovely.

    • Coulson: Marcus Daniels was an assistant at a physics lab where they were trying to harness the electrical power of something called Darkforce. And nothing bad happens when you work with something called "Darkforce."

    • Grant: Everything's falling apart around us. we don't know how it will end. If there's something you want to tell her, don't wait.
Fitz: Maybe Simmons should check you for a head injury, 'cause that's not the Ward that I know.
Grant: You know what? Do what you want. I don't care.
Fitz: Good to have you back.

    • Jemma: How can you be sure he's going to Portland?
Coulson: Daniels was obsessed with a woman there. He called her his only light in the darkness.
Jemma: That's almost romantic! (Fitz stares) Almost.

    • Koenig: The NSA. You want to hack the NSA? That's a bad idea, Skye. That's a terrible idea. The NSA's already got S.H.I.E.L.D. on its watch list. Why poke the bear--the big, scary, waterboarding bear?

    • Jemma: The TARDIS.
Referencing the long-running British science fiction program, Doctor Who. The title character's time-space vehicle, the TARDIS, has a chameleon circuit that makes it appear in the shape of a 1960s English police box, and is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside.
