  • Excellent as usual!

This episode has one of my all time favourite scenes of M*A*S*H.

Its the one where Henry is trying to give a alk to everyone about men, women and SEX! Obviously he delivery is lacking badly and so Hawkeye and Trapper make numerous hysterically funny comments. (My favourite is Trapper's question about Figure A and B)

Its one of the Dear Dad episodes where Hawkeye writes home to his dad about the goings on in the camp. The joke he and Trapper played on Frank and Margaret was another classic moment.

The episode ends in a typically festive way , with Hawkeye dropping in on a helicopter to help a wounded solider while dressed as Santa Claus.

    A Superb episode!moreless
  • One funny episode!

    9.5
This first of three episodes in which Hawkeye writes home to his father about the activities inside the MASH 4077 camp. Easily one of the funniest episodes of the entire series, it shows moments that show pure comic genius on the part of the writers. From Radar secretly mailing home a jeep one part at a time to Hawkeye and Trapper making ' special ' arrangements upon hearing of Frank and Hot Lips' date, the show will have you laughing out loud more than a few times. Even in a moment of drama near the end of the episode, Hawkeye taking an emergency helicopter to the front to treat wounded, there is a buried moment of humor as a GI, seeing a Santa Claus garbed Hawkeye descending from the chopper, tells his fellow soldier that he was right about Santa Claus being a real person.

    A great episode!moreless
