Goof: Hawkeye and BJ are walking in the scene where they discover the huge shipments of tongue depressors. Alan Alda feet are visible for about 2 seconds. He is wearing a bright blue pair of running shoes made in the early 1980s.
Colonel Potter (reading Klinger's weather forecast): "Cold, possibly hot, chance of showers, or not." Can't argue with that.
In an amusing running gag, Klinger uses his fast talk skills to attempt to garner subscriptions for his fledgling newspaper that actually cost more, rather than less for a yearly subscription. He offers Fr. Mulchahy a "deal" of $2/month or $25 a year; Margaret gets offered $3/month or $50/year; Charles $5/month or $75/year. Mulchahy's yearly subscription would cost one dollar more; Margaret would lose fourteen bucks and Charles fifteen versus the monthly subscription rate.
The names of Henry Blake, Frank Burns and "Trapper" John McIntyre are all mentioned as Hawkeye and B.J. are sitting in the officer's club sorting through the tongue depressors. In an acknowledgement of Henry's death, Hawkeye breaks the tongue depressor that represents him.
