I know I like all of his encouters with Winchester. Like when they had to be quarantined together in "Heal Thyself". The one I couldn't remember had to do with him telling Hawkeye that he was doing something and Radar was being scared. I don't remember the exact way he put it though.

There are a lot of good, humorous ones, but my favorite Potter moment is when officers are supposed to be listening to and learning about how to treat injuries from a new type of weapon (Napalm), and they are just clowning through the whole speech, as usual. Potter is already upset about something else and he just freaks out on the whole staff telling them to "shut up, and maybe we can figure out how to end this damn war!!!" The room just falls silent. I remember feeling really uncomfortable when it aired, like he was yelling at all of us at home, too. I wish I could remember the name of the ep, it was so good.
You know, maybe I'm squemish, or something, but I've never liked the episodes where Potter loses his composure. Whether it be in "Pressure Points" (Season 10, Ep 15 ), or "Old Soldiers" (Season 8, Ep 18 ), maybe I just don't like emotional outbursts, and Harry Morgan's are SO intense. But, honestly, I think I dislike it because it SO goes against his character. He's regular Army, he's been in the service for like 800 years, he's seen it all, he's the C.O., I could go on, and on, and on...I just think that the episodes where Potter loses it are probably examples of Alan Alda's maudlin melodramatics infecting other members of the cast. I can just see Alda in writer's meetings "Okay, so who's gonna to have a melt down on THIS episode?"

I like the scene in "Peace on Us" (Season 7, Ep 2 ) where Potter is already VERY drunk at the 'red (or anti-green)' party and the Major from I-Corps comes into the mess tent looking for him.

Goss: (To Fr. Mulcahy) Where can I find your C.O.

Mulcahy: He's the one over there, drinking with both hands.

    Goss goes up to Potter

Goss: Col. Potter, I'm Major Goss, I-Corps

Potter: Col. Potter, who are you?

Colonel Potter was the funniest when he was drunk.

"I'm not fond of personal abuse, Colonel. I was in this man's army when the only thumb you cared about was the one you had in your mouth!"

Loved seeing him stand up to Flagg!
