MASH had plenty of guest stars that were unknown at the time who went on to bigger and better things (like so many other long running TV shows). Who was your favorite? Mine's Peter Riegert, as I'm a huge Animal House fan. Also, here's a partial list of guest stars, nowhere near complete, feel free to add to it.

Didn't Alan Alda's father guest starred in a M*A*S*H episode.

Yes he did. In fact, he was in two episodes, "The Consultant" and "Lend A Hand". His half-brother, Antony was also in "Lend A Hand".

Yeah, I think my intense dislike of "Lend a Hand" prevented me from putting Alda Sr. on the list. That episode, and, to a lesser extent, "The Consultant" sort of put me off Robert Alda.

But some new guest stars that I only just noticed:

    William Katt

    James Callahan

    Michael Lerner

    Rita Wilson

I agree. I'm not a fan of Robert Alda to begin with, so I give both episodes a pass whenever they air.

At least acting is in the Alda family. (Acting usually runs in some people's families)

I'm not a fan of his either, but I thought he should be on the list, so that's why I mentioned him.

That all depends on who Lenny is and whether he was ever in a MASH episode.

I swore I saw him in, and his name at the end of an episode, Andrew clay, as in "Dice".

Not "Dice" yet, but then again he was born Andrew Clay Silverstein. Any verification ?
