    • TRIVIA (3)

      • Robert Hogan, who played Jack Mitchell, was a friend of Bernard Fein, the co-creator of Hogan's Heroes. Fein named Bob Crane's character after hin.

      • B.J. tells Corporal Owens that he "hasn't had the pleasure" of being at the front. In "Der Tag", he did go to a Battalion Aid station at the front.

      • It's interesting that Jack thought that by going one over Dangerous Dan's record, he would automatically be "chopper pilot of the year". I would have thought that he would know that DD would get at least one more patient, UNLESS it was the last day of the competition. It sure didn't seem to be anywhere near December 31st.

    • QUOTES (9)

      • B.J.: Get quite a repertoire from three wars, eh, Colonel?
        Potter: Sad to say.
Hawkeye: Of the three wars, Colonel--
        Potter: Hmm?
Hawkeye: Which would you say was the worst?
PA Announcer: Attention, all personnel. By the close of today's fighting, the 1st Battalion of the Gloucester regiment has lost an estimated five hundred men of its six hundred man complement.
Potter: Each and every one, Hawkeye. Each and every one.

      • Radar: We got more casualties comin' in, but the blood donors are all lined up.
Jack: Could you use a pint, extra sweet?
        BJ: On the bus!

      • Jack: I'll send you a box of cigars.
Potter: I got nothin' to trade.
Jack: Just gift wrap a nurse.

      • Potter: (talking about Jack) If that character manages to get off the ground and bring back four wounded without killing them, him or the chopper, I want him to get a medal. Then I want him locked up.

      • (Hawkeye is eating a piece of chicken)
        BJ: Where'd you get that?
        Hawkeye: The Petrified Forest.
        BJ: They still open?

      • Colonel Potter: (to Jack) Where can I get some streptomycin? I'm running low and Supply's still trying to get stuff to Valley Forge.

      • Corporal Owens: Do you know anything about psychiatry?
BJ: Enough to know I'm not supposed to go steady with my mother.

      • (Trying to figure out how Jack can throw a syringe so it lands in an orange)
BJ: There's a magnet in the orange.
Hawkeye: That's it, he peels the orange, he puts a magnet inside and then he glues the rind back on the orange without a single seam showing and I don't know what the hell I'm talking about.

      • Corporal Owens: I don't want to go back to the fighting.
BJ: Sounds serious. You may be coming down with mental health.
