When Radar mentions the night's movie, he says the film playing that night is "First Born of Godzilla". However, since this episode is roughly set in 1952 the reference to Godzilla is wrong since the first Godzilla film wasn't released until 1954. Also, the first film featuring Godzilla's son didn't come out until 1967.
Henry's amateur radio call-sign is KN5YVJ
In response to the last goof: This is just Radar's attempt at making conversation. The measurements he used mean nothing.
When Radar mentions that he is measuring the camp, doesn't 2800 square feet (I don't recall the exact figure) seem awfully small for a military installation? That's about the size of an average house!
(Henry is playing golf on the hill, just as he gets ready to swing, Klinger comes running up with a letter) Klinger: COLONEL BLAKE! (Henry is suprised and starts to swing wildly in different directions) Klinger: Colonel, it's my girl Laverne, she want's to get married. Henry: Klinger, has she ever seen you? (Klinger is dressed in women's clothes once again) Klinger: Please Sir, you have to give me a weekend pass for the wedding and a quick 1-2-3 honeymoon. Henry: Everyone who believes that, stand on their head. Klinger: You don't believe me, Colonel? Henry: Klinger, you're so desperate to get out of Korea that you would have yourself buried, with a soda straw through the ocffin so you could breathe.
(Klinger is marrying Laverne over the radio) Margaret: (shouting) I demand that this wedding be stopped immediately! Trapper: Oh, shut up, Major. Margaret: (to Frank) Did you hear that?! Frank: I certainly did... Are you gonna let him talk to you like that?
Hawkeye: We have to get our food, Lyle. Trapper: Don't say that, he'll skewer the cook!
(Lyle approaches Trapper and Hawkeye from behind) Hawkeye: My Marine, right? Trapper: How did you know? Hawkeye: We just had a total eclipse of the sun.
Hawkeye: (Referring to the patient holding the cat) We better call a psychatrist, this is out of my league. What's his name? Father Mulcahy: Fluffy.
(Lyle gets angry at Frank and lifts him off the ground) Margaret: Put him down this instant! You can't twirl an officer!
Lyle Wesson: Maybe we could be pen pals after the war. Hawkeye: Lyle, it would just be boring for you. I write everything in prescriptions.
Frank (to the patient with the cat): I'm going to count to five and then I want you to hand over that unauthorized cat! One. Two. Three. Four. Hawkeye: Showing off for the patients again, Frank?
Hawkeye (to dishevelled Radar at show-end): Radar, what happened? Radar: I don't know--I think I've been slaked.
Houlihan (to Klinger at beginning of wedding): You have your nerve--wearing white. Klinger: Jealous?
When Klinger insists that he has to get married, Henry asks him if he's pregnant. He may have been thinking of the episode "Officers Only," in which Klinger pretended to be pregnant.
Klinger marries his girlfriend Laverne in this episode. Father Mulcahy performs the ceremony over the short wave set and Klinger is wearing a white wedding dress. However, in the episode "Mail Call Three", Laverne leaves Klinger for another man.
Alex Karras' most notable role was that of the hulking giant Mongo in the film "Blazing Saddles". He, of course, played for the Detroit Lions at defensive end. He also was suspended for a year for gambling on football games.
Mary Kay Place, who co-wrote this episode, plays Radar's love interest. She would later leave writing for acting, starring in films such as "The Big Chill" and "The Rainmaker," not to mention the classic TV series "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman."
