CBS (ended 1983)

  • Season 1 Episode 24: Showtime

  • Goof: In this episode, Henry is awaiting the birth of his third child. However, in the remainder of the episodes he's in, Henry states that he only has two children (Molly and Andrew).

  • Goof: In all of the other episodes, the shower heads are on the LEFT of the shower stall (when looking toward the entrance). In this episode, the shower heads are on the RIGHT of the shower stall when Hawkeye cannot get them to work.

  • Season 1 Episode 23: Cease-Fire

  • In the 'Dear Dad' episode, Hawkeye mentioned that his father was in Vermont, rather than Maine. He mentions it again in this episode: while telling a nurse that he has five kids, he adds that it's cold up in Vermont.

  • This episode marks the final appearance of Marcia Stassman as Nurse Cutler.

  • When Hawkeye finds out about the cease-fire in Henry's office he throws up pieces of paper in the air. In the next scene when Hawkeye is talking on the phone the papers are no longer falling down as they were a few seconds earlier.

  • At the end of the episode, Trapper and Hawkeye are sitting in a nearly destroyed swamp. A patient with crutches goes behind Hawkeye. After a cut to Hawkeye, the patient has dissapeared, although he has not passed Hawkeye. After a cut to Trapper one can see a pink "thing", which was not there before the cut.

  • The people celebrate the ceasefire in the mess tent. Hawkeye and Trapper are drinking beer from cans, which are standing on the table in front of them. After a cut Hawkeye's can suddenly does not stand on the table and he holds his arm behind his back, soon starting to pour beer on Trapper.

  • Season 1 Episode 22: Major Fred C. Dobbs

  • When Henry is chewing out Hawk and Trapper, he has the left side of his mouth numb, but when he walks out of his office and walks back in saying this "What am I doing this is my office, you guys get out" (or something along those lines) durring the first part of the sentence his whole mouth works fine.

  • When Henry was chewing out Hawkeye and Trapper for the broadcast, he mentioned that Margaret wanted to leave. But he could have refused her request for a transfer. If he needed her, why did he give her the transfer?

  • Trapper, Hawkeye, and Radar tape a conversation between Frank and Margaret, but the tape is running in clockwise direction, meaning the tape recorder is recording backwards or rewinding.

  • Season 1 Episode 21: Sticky Wicket

  • After Hawkeye gets Margaret from her tent, he goes back into the tent and sees Frank in the closet. If you look closely at what he is holding it looks like a sex toy.

  • The doctors are eating in the mess tent. The things on the desk are changing position with every camera angle, and the plate with bread is changing place from Radar to Trapper.

  • Season 1 Episode 20: The Army-Navy Game

  • The radio announcer says that this is the "50th gridiron classic". The 50th Army Navy game was played in 1949...prior to the Korean War.

  • The voice of the communist propagandist that is heard over the radio while Henry is looking for the game is provided by Jamie Farr.

  • The final score of the game is announced as Navy - 42 and Army - 36. In the actual 1951 Army-Navy game, the Navy did win by 42 points but Army only scored 7.

  • When Henry talks to the Navy Commander, he refers to him as 'Sir.' This wouldn't be proper because Henry is the equivalent rank (O-5).

  • When Trapper, Hawkeye and two nurses are jumping around in Henry's office before the big game, you can see one of the nurses hitting Alan Alda in the face. Instead of brushing it off you see Alda hold his face and turn around.

  • After the propaganda bomb goes off and they read the pamphlets, the propaganda is written in English and not Korean, even though it's supposed to be aimed at the North Koreans.

  • The gang is partying in Henry's office and on the right side of the frame a desk with bottles and glasses is visible. Shortly before an explosion wipes everything from the desk the things on it are arranged different.

  • Hawkeye and Klinger try to sit on the same chair at the party in Henry's office. In the first scene Hawkeyes left arm is stretched out towards the floor. After a cut his arm is suddenly bended and one can see his dogtag, which was invisible before.
