The judges confused me.

Near the middle of the show, Ramsey said that the competition standards are so high that a single grain of too much salt will send you home, yet a contestant who uses truffle oil gets an apron? I'm confused.

Also I am so tired of the over produced, fake-out dramatic, looks like they are going to be kicked off, wait till the tears are falling, then give them an apron moments. Its being over done. Maybe if there was a little more subtlety the natural drama will be felt and appreciated. Right now it just seems staged for maximum emotional impact. And telegraphing who is getting an apron by showing a produced back ground piece is not working.

However, the moment with the Scottish contestant was refreshingly real and sincere. More of that would be nice.moreless
