Masters Of The Maze is a game show that has three teams of two. One player on the team is the guy to go into the maze and the second player is the navigator who uses a joystick to help his partner in the maze.
J.D Roth's version First, the players going into the maze have to identify scrambled pictures. Each picture is worth 10 points and you get to answer a question about the picture for an extra 5 points. The first player to reach 50 points gets to go into the maze. After that comes the speed round. In the speed round, the last two players are remaining, but after they identify the picture, they just go on to the next picture. The player to get 50 points in the speed round will compete in the maze against the player that got 50 points in the first part.
Next, team number one gets their turn to make their way through the maze. The first part of the maze is the mirror maze. You have to find your way to the end of the mirror maze, but the mirror man will block your path, so you have to answer a question. After that, you go across the bridge and somewhere in the staircase to the honeycomb maze, you have to find two powersticks that are hidden in one of the holes in the wall of the staircase to the honeycomb maze. One is to open the door to the chamber of knowledge and the other is to stop the clock after you reach the end of the maze. After you find the two power sticks, you continue your way downstairs to the honeycomb maze. When you do reach the honeycomb maze, you have to put your visor down, which is the blindfold of the power suit you wear while going in the maze. In the honeycomb maze, there are a couple of paths that lead to the end of the honeycomb maze, but only one of them is the right path. There are two doorways in each room of the honeycomb maze. One of them is locked and the other is open, so you have to look for the door that's open and that's the right path to the end of the honeycomb maze. After you reach the exit of the honeycomb maze, you put your visor back up and the lady of the maze will tell you about the chamber of knowledge and the guardians of the gate while you're putting the power stick in the inserter to open the door to the chamber of knowledge. While you're in the chamber of knowledge, three guardians of the gate will each ask you one true and false question. After you answer a question from all three guardians, you just have to put in the last power stick to stop the clock.
In the next part, team number two has to follow the same objectives, but try to do it in less time, if they make better timing, they win, but if they run out of time, then team number one wins.
In the last part, the master of the maze plays the bonus level to win the grand prize. In prize mountain, there are five TV screens that say prize, no prize. The person who went in the maze has to aim the laser light at the screen and the navigator fires the laser. After the person who went in the maze yells fire, the navigator fires at the screen right away. If they hit prize on three of the five screens, they win the grand prize, which is a 500 dollar shopping spree at The Sharper Image in Beverly Hills. If they don't hit prize on three of the screens, they don't get the shopping spree, but the navigator and the person in the maze get some cool prizes, but the person in the maze goes on a special journey.
Mario Lopez's version When Mario Lopez started hosting the show, a couple of things got a little bit easier. Somewhere in the middle of the first part of identifying scrambled pictures, you get a chance to identify a scrambled bonus picture that's worth 15 points. Also, when you go across the bridge, you don't have to find the two powersticks anymore because you only have to find one powerstick and it's located somewhere in the ice cave, which use to be the honeycomb maze in JD Roth's version. When you're in the chamber of knowledge, only one of the guardians of the gate ask you a question. After you answer the guardian's question, all three doors instantly open. After the chamber of knowledge, you have to fire your laser at the mirror man on a computer screen and hit him twice. Last, you run up lightning mountain and use the powerstick to stop the clock. In this version, the bonus round, which was prize mountain got taken off the show and the 500 dollar shopping spree at The Sharper Image in Beverly Hills automatically went to the person who went in the maze in the best time.moreless
