      • (George and Pat arrive at the lockup, where Emit Kelly is held; Emmy is visiting him)
Emit: Remember the clown's motto. Laugh, and the world laughs with you. But if you cry, you cry alone.
        Emmy: But, Daddy...
        Emit: What, darlin'?
        Emmy: I am alone.
        Emit: Oh, sweetheart.
(the two sad clowns embrace, much to the disappointment of George and Pat)

      • (George, Pat, and Captain Greco catch the clown at the ATM)
George: Whoever you are, you got some explaining to do!
(Pat removes the clown's disguise, only to find that instead of Emit, he is...)
        George: Simon Legume?!
Legume: Yes. I did it. I stole the money.
Pat: We're going to have to arrest you.
Legume: I was pretty sure that was the procedure. Uh, one question.
        George: Yes?
Legume: Will you have to tell my father?
        George: 'Fraid so.
Legume: Boy, he's gonna be mad as a wet hen.

      • Announcer: (during Legume's mugshot) Simon Legume was tried in Manhattan, in and for the state of New York. He was found guilty of 155.40: Grand larceny in the 2nd degree, and a 313.3: Fiddling around with an ATM, or automatic teller machine. He is presently spending time in prison, where his father visits him monthly and bawls him out.
